Yosemite's Majestic Trails: The Top 5 Must-Hike Adventures in the Valley
The wonderland called Yosemite National Park
This year at September I was at the famous Yosemite Valley for the first time in my life and it exceeded any expectations I had before coming.
I went hiking with my father in the trails of the Yosemite Valley and here are the 5 must do hikes in the valley:
1. Half Dome Hike: Half Dome is one of Yosemite's most famous landmarks. The strenuous 16- to 18-mile round-trip hike takes you to the summit of Half Dome, where you can enjoy panoramic views of the entire Yosemite Valley. A permit is required to hike Half Dome, and it's a challenging trek that involves the ascent of the iconic cables.
2. Mist Trail: The Mist Trail is renowned for its close-up views of Vernal Fall and Nevada Fall. This moderate to strenuous hike is about 7 miles round trip and provides stunning scenery, especially in the spring when the waterfalls are at their most powerful.
3. Yosemite Falls Trail: This hike leads to the tallest waterfall in North America, Yosemite Falls. The trail offers challenging terrain and is approximately 7.2 miles round trip to the Upper Yosemite Fall viewpoint. For a shorter and easier hike, you can visit the Lower Yosemite Fall, accessible to all.
4. Bridalveil Fall Trail: Bridalveil Fall is one of Yosemite's most iconic waterfalls. The short and easy hike takes you to the base of the fall, providing a refreshing experience and stunning views. It's an excellent choice for a quick excursion.
5. Mirror Lake Trail: Mirror Lake is a seasonal lake that reflects the surrounding granite cliffs, creating a breathtaking sight. The trail is relatively flat and is approximately 2 miles round trip. It's a family-friendly hike and is also accessible for bikes.
